Just Keep Going

In recent years, I've incorporated yoga into my fitness routine, which was a practice I initially misunderstood. It used to seem strange, exclusive, and too effortless to be a workout. However, I've come to realize that yoga is not just about physical exercise; it is a journey of self-discovery.

Every practice you encounter a different version of yourself - mirroring life's unpredictability. Some days, I feel empowered and fluid in my movements. While on others, I struggle and falter. My balance and coordination seeming more like dueling enemies. Initially, I'd become frustrated with my perceived shortcomings. But, embracing each practice's reality has taught me to be more kind to myself. I've learned that progress comes from accepting the present moment without judgment. So, when I (inevitably) stumble, I pause, regroup, and continue forward. Embracing this process without self-criticism has been one of the keys to my growth on and off the mat.

Just keep going.
