Just Because You're Diverted Doesn't Mean You Won't Get There

I originally planned to share a different gem today when life threw me a curve ball. Flying from Atlanta to New York turned into an unexpected journey when a two hours delay and a diversion to Dulles airport disrupted my plans and turned a normally two hours flight into an all-day affair.

So, here I am switching gears at 10:30PM on a Sunday night. There was a part of me that wanted to be frustrated. I wanted to get to my destination quickly. I wanted to lean into the impatient side of me.

However, despite the twists and turns, I realized a valuable life lesson.

As we were finally getting close to landing in New York, I embraced the idea that being diverted doesn't mean we won't eventually get there.

Detours can often lead us to new opportunities and perspectives, which remind us that the destination remains within reach even if the journey takes an unexpected route.
