A Mother Knows Things- Finish What You Start

This week on A Mother Knows Things, we’re diving into Principle 5: Finish What You Start.

Let’s rewind to January 2025. I made a promise to you and to myself that I’d show up here on LinkedIn every week to share my thoughts and experiences.

I was terrified.

And, in case you’re wondering—yes, I’m still scared every single week.

I didn’t have a detailed plan (very unlike me) or a clever brand voice. I wasn’t even sure if my musings belonged in a space usually filled with polished business insights and corporate wins.

But, many Sundays later, something unexpected has happened along the way.

The Sunday Scaries have backed off.

I’ve started looking forward to this weekly ritual. It has become a sacred quiet pocket of time to reflect, write, and make sense of the messy beauty of life.

This is why it is so important to finish what you start.

Even if the road is foggy.

Even if your knees shake.

Even if you're unsure who’s reading or why it matters.

Because the truth is—it does matter.

There’s purpose in the process even if the destination is still unfolding.
